Review

An impressive debut for director Lee Jong Hyuk, this cross between Tell Me Something and Se7en is a praiseworthy associate to each of these films. Shin Hyun is a psychopathic killer who has turned himself in after killing six young women. When new victims appear — killed in the style used by Shin Hyun — only he can provide the clues needed to track down this new killer. Offering only cryptic messages, the incarcerated killer does not make it so clear what he does and doesn’t know. Simultaneously, we discover that that one of the detectives was on the case for the original Shin Hyun murders and that her partner at the time has committed suicide. Does she, too, know something deeper about the recent murders? This highly stylized movie is filmed brilliantly, and the turns it takes are far less then predictable.
